This drawing was inspired from a public domain work by Alberto Vargas titled Memories of Olive.
Most of the work was completed over the course of a Sunday, probably in 2009. The main drawing came together in one six or seven hour session. I think I probably finished up the some of background work and a few minor touches a few days later.
While completing this drawing I captured a couple work in progress shots below.
